Paul Tappenden

Paul Tappenden is a forager, folk herbalist, teacher and author, who has made a study of the native and invasive plants and their uses. His studies in these areas place emphasis on traditional native American uses of plants as well as other ethnobotanical traditions.
Paul has made a particular study of invasive plants and their uses, and has explored their edibility and medicinal properties. He runs workshops and programs on foraging and survival skills and organizes nature walks and programs at local farms, summer camps, scout troops and schools.

Becky Denekamp

Becky Denekamp has been learning self-sustainability skills for almost ten years. This has led her to explore many paths including: natural hair and skin care, soap making, foraging, wild medicinals, baking bread, wood working, vegetable gardening, raising chickens for eggs and meat, canning, dehydrating, and scratch cooking. Her 4 kids come along for many of the adventures. She is also the craft counselor for various children’s programs in the community. She maintains her suburban homestead in Midland Park, NJ.
